Tournament Format and Competing Teams
The structure of this Major aligns closely with previous events, featuring a total of 24 teams battling it out across two phases using the Swiss format: the Opening Stage and the Elimination Stage, culminating in the playoffs with the top eight teams.
Throughout the initial phases, teams will compete in both best-of-one and best-of-three matches.
The standout squads from the Opening Stage will move on to the Elimination Stage, where they’ll face off against eight other elite teams pre-selected based on Valve’s seeding.
This phase also utilizes a Swiss system, leading to playoffs conducted in a single-elimination format, with all final matches being best-of-three.
