Rumors are swirling about an exciting potential collaboration between Helldivers 2 and the Killzone franchise, possibly introducing fresh armor and weaponry into the game.

Potential Crossover Details

A Twitter user, known as Iron_S1ghts, has delved deep into the game’s data and suggests that this crossover might be dubbed Righteous Revenants Warbond.

This user has previously uncovered intriguing details about a new enemy faction in the game called the Illuminate.

Currently, two screenshots have surfaced, displaying purported armor designs that highlight iconic features from Killzone, such as gas masks and striking red eyes, creating a distinctly menacing vibe.

Armor and Gameplay Mechanics

The first armor design, identified as AC-1 Dutiful, offers players a robust 50% resistance against multiple damage types, including fire, gas, acid, and electricity.

Meanwhile, the AC-2 Obedient armor also provides the same level of resistance, but it favors agility and stamina recovery, sacrificing some defensive capabilities in the process.

Despite the buzz surrounding this crossover, Sony has yet to release any official comment.

Future Prospects

Earlier this year, Arrowhead Studios hinted at the possibility of crossovers, specifying they would consider only those that make sense within their existing game universes.

Given that both Helldivers 2 and Killzone share themes of authoritarianism, this potential partnership feels fitting.

Johan Pilestedt, the CEO of Arrowhead Studios, has already remarked that a crossover with the Halo series is unlikely.

In recent developments, Helldivers 2 introduced a new faction, the Illuminate, which players have quickly dispatched.

Additionally, fans can look forward to a limited-edition DualSense controller themed around Helldivers 2, available for preorder starting on December 20.

This game has been turning heads, securing accolades for Best Ongoing Game and Best Multiplayer at The Game Awards 2024.
