While the original game left out fan-favorite Jar Jar Binks as a playable character, that’s set to change in the upcoming re-release for modern consoles.
The newly unveiled trailer showcases Jar Jar undergoing a remarkable transformation into an action hero, flaunting skills that fans never got to see during his appearances in The Phantom Menace or beyond.
While he reveals surprising combat prowess, he retains his signature comedic charm as he hilariously scurries away from a pack of menacing creatures on the lush planet of Naboo.
Although Jar Jar isn’t exactly known for his courage, guiding players through the game with him as a quirky protagonist is sure to deliver a delightful experience.
Expanded Character Lineup
In Jedi Power Battles, players primarily get to embody characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn.
However, the game will also extend its character lineup to include beloved figures such as Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, Queen Padmé Amidala, Captain Panaka, Ki-Adi Mundi, a battle droid, and the fearsome Darth Maul.
Developer Aspyr is dedicated to enhancing the overall gaming experience, taking care to ensure Jedi wield lightsabers in their correct colors, such as Mace Windu and his iconic purple blade.
Gameplay Features
The game’s competitive side shines through with a Versus mode, where players can engage each other in battles.
There’s also a cooperative mode available for those who wish to join forces against the Trade Federation.
Additionally, gamers can look forward to a Big Head Mode, along with various cheats that can spice up gameplay.
