Partnership Announcement
Riot Games has announced a dynamic multi-year partnership that pairs the League of Legends Championship of the Americas (LTA) with Uber, marking a new chapter for fans of the North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).
As the official rideshare and on-demand delivery partner, Uber aims to elevate the fan experience by offering exclusive discounts and providing Uber One members access to the Uber Hextech Chest game.
Fans attending live events for LTA North will not only enjoy these perks but also become eligible for unique in-game amenities and special limited-time promotional drops.
When viewers tune in for LTA broadcasts, they’ll notice a new ‘Eats Button’ during gameplay, guiding them to special offers within Uber Eats designed just for them.
Strategic Collaboration
Reflecting on this collaboration, the LTA Commissioner emphasized the strategic advantage this partnership holds for both players and supporters.
He praised Uber as a trailblazing brand that is reshaping connections between people and their environment, expressing excitement about working together to craft memorable experiences for the gaming community.
In a fresh twist for broadcasts, the LTA will introduce a segment called ‘Uber Eats Teleport,’ showcasing those game-changing teleport moments that fans love.
Key highlights will also be featured in a segment titled ‘Uber Eats Delivery Replay,’ allowing fans to relive those thrilling plays.
Upcoming Events
This partnership builds on Uber’s previous engagements in the esports world, particularly its collaboration with the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) through its food delivery service, Uber Eats.
The Head of Marketing for Uber North America shared enthusiasm about this venture, stating that it will enrich the LTA viewing experience by integrating exclusive in-game rewards and smooth food delivery options during matches.
This partnership celebrates iconic moments in the competition for the fans.
The LTA kicks off on January 25th, featuring 16 teams from North America, Latin America, and Brazil.
The league will be divided into two regional groups—North and South.
The North 2025 Split 1 will unfold in Los Angeles, while São Paulo will host the South 2025 Split 1.
The champions from both regions will advance to the inaugural First Stand tournament in March 2025.
